Levantine (adjective): “relating to the Eastern Mediterranean“. The exceptional Levantine De Musar stands out as an exciting, contemporary addition to the legendary Lebanese winemaking family.
To begin with, this wine relies on a meticulously selected single vineyard situated at an altitude of 1,000 meters in the West Bekaa Valley . The winemaking team balances tradition and innovation by blending three distinct grape varieties. This unique recipe features a dominant portion of juicy Cinsault, balanced beautifully by the structural elegance of Tempranillo and a touch of Cabernet Sauvigon. Furthermore, these low-yielding vines thrive on gravelly soils over a rich limestone bed. Consequently, the grapes develop an incredible concentration of flavor while retaining a vibrant, energetic core of natural acidity.
In terms of production, the winery deliberately utilizes an unoaked approach to preserve the pure primary fruit characteristics. The components ferment gently inside traditional concrete vats to emphasize freshness. Following fermentation, the wine rests quietly in these vats before the bottling process takes place.
It is elegant and vibrant displaying red fruit aromas and flavours. It pairs wonderfully with a wide selection of cold mezze platters, herb-roasted lamb, grilled Mediterranean vegetables, and hard cheeses.
To keep the wines showing at their best, bottles must be cellared in darkness, lying on their sides and not subjected to unnecessary movement or fluctuations in temperature. Visit storing our wines page to learn more.
